Lifelong Friends Pet Adoptions

We are teaming up with Best Friends Animal Society to raise money to help the dogs and cats at our shelter. On September 28 you and your dog can “Strut” with us at Mueller Lake Park in downtown Austin. This is a great opportunity to meet up with other people who support Lifelong Friends Pet Adoptions. When you register for “Strut Your Mutt Austin” you also have the opportunity to do some fundraising of your own for our shelter. Lifelong Friends would like to introduce a new program at our shelter.  It’s called “Virtual Adoption”.  Has a photo of a particular dog or cat tugged on your heartstrings? Would you like to get to know that animal a little better and contribute to his or her care here at the shelter?  For a small monthly donation you can virtually adopt that animal! We will send you an information package with a photo of the pet, how they came to live at the shelter, their birthday, and what they like to do during the day.  Once or twice a year we will also send out an update on the pet.  You can come down to the shelter to meet the pet and get your photo taken with him or her, or bring them a special toy or blanket or some treats.  If the pet finds its forever home we will notify you right away so you may transfer your donation to another pet at the shelter.  To get started just select a dog or cat, choose the sponsorship level, and click on the Sponsorship button on the animal’s profile page.
